Hot New EyeTV app
The newly released EyeTV app from Elgato gives you on the go access to the EyeTV running on your Mac at home, making it possible to use your talk and text tool for-
* Watch live TV and change channels anywhere (Wi-Fi connection required)
* Watching your EyeTV recordings
* Browsing the comprehensive Program Guide
* Starting recordings back home on your Mac immediately or scheduling them for later
* Viewing and editing your recording schedules
Absolutely no configuration is necessary to watch live TV on the same network as the Mac that is running EyeTV. To watch live TV when you are on the road, Elgato’s free My EyeTV service helps the EyeTV app find your Mac at home.
If your equipment is not compatible and the My EyeTV service is not able to find your Mac, you can configure your router manually.
A word of caution: This is not recommended for novices! Please don’t try this if you are not familiar with the term “port forwarding”.
The EyeTV app is available from the App Store at a price of AU $5.99.
Important Information: A Mac running EyeTV 3.2 or higher is required; the EyeTV running on your Mac converts live TV to the correct format for streaming to the iPhone. Live Streaming requires an Intel Core 2 Duo processor or better iPhone OS 3.0 or higher.
